William Kulcak - b. 03 Jan 1899 ========================== Obituary published in Rosenberg Herald 07 Dec 1934 Sunday, November 25 at 7 p.m., in Needville, occurred the death of Mrs. Pauline Kulcak, age 77 years. Mrs. Kulcak was one of Needville's most beloved, citizens and her passing brought grief to the entire community. Mrs. Kulcak was born in Europe. Came to America in 1884, first settling in Fayette county. She moved to Fort Bend county in 1908, where she has since made her home and where she was highly esteemed. Deceased is survived by three sons, Messrs, J.F., John H. and Willie Kulcak; two step-sons, J.T. Kulcak of Needville and V.A. Kulcak of Alice; two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Surey and Mrs. Frances Surey; twenty-four grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Zatopek of Ellinger and Karel Zatopek of Europe. Funeral services for Mrs. Kulcak were held at St. Michael Catholic church in Needville, Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Rev. J.F. Hanak, pastor of the church, officiated, assisted by Rev. Jas. Kveton of Rosenberg and Rev. J. Tidlacka of Houston. Pallbearers were Willie and John Zatopek of West, Texas, Frank Zatopek of Hillje, Louis Zatopek of Ellinger, and Frank and Joe Olahoe of Cistern. Interment was made in the Needville Catholic cemetery. The Foerster Funeral Home of Rosenberg, had charge of funeral arrangements. Friends extend sympathy to the bereaved in their hour of sorrow.
