Bio

Birth and death dates are from her death certificate. On the 1900 census she gave her birth as Nov 1835 and age as 64. Her father was Jan Jurek, born in Moravia. She was the mother of Barbora Zatopek who married Anton Zatopek, both of whom are buried in this cemetery. She arrived in New York on June 1, 1891 from Bohemia with her daughter Barbora and her son Roman. Her daughter Pauline who married Paul Kulcak had arrived earlier. She was listed with them on 1900 census in Colorado County, Texas.

***Note about her birth...her birth record was found on line (http://digi.archives.cz/da/permalink?xid=be85f324-f13c-102f-8255-0050568c0263&scan=50) and is actually April 13, 1836...which is closer to the date she gave on the 1900 census, November 1835.
