Ida Sue Phillips 72,of Texarkana, Texas died Wednesday April 28,2004 at her home. Mrs. Phillips was born May 17,1931 in the Wamba community. She was retired from Wadley Regional Medical Center and a member of Northwood Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband, Cecil R. Phillips of Texarkana; two sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil “Sonny” and Robbin Phillips and Jeff and Melinda Phillips of Texarkana; one brother,Jessie Akin of Redwater, Texas; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Texarkana Funeral Home Fuqua-Everett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Brazile officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Moores Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be at their home off Buchanan Road. Texarkana Daily Gazette, April 30,2004.
