Bio

Jessie Lynn Akin, 84, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, September 10,2008, in a local hospital. Mr. Akin was born March 9,1924, in Texarkana. He was retired from the City of Texarkana Water Department. He was preceded in death by two wives, Ouida Akin and Kitty Akin. Survivors include one son, Jessie Keith Akin of Pampa, Texas; three brothers-in-law, Winfred Braley of Maud, Texas, Clarence Braley of DeKalb, Texas and Clifton Braley of Terrell, Texas; one sister-in-law, Genell Smith of Redwater, Texas; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today in Redwater Cemetery, Redwater, under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
