MRS. STELLA JAMES Mrs. Stella James, age 84, passed away on September 10, 1969. Funeral services were held September 12 at Marlow Baptist Church, with burial in Drakes Fork Cemetery. The Rev. Murphy Walters officiated. Mrs. James is survived by four sons, Bill James, Pitkin, Walter James, Leesville, Louie James, San Antonio, and Mevy James of Houston; five daughters, Mrs. Katherine Deason, Pitkin, Mrs. Pearl Brister, DeRidder, Mrs. Inez Ford, Leesville, Mrs. Hettie Byrd, Deridder, and Mrs. Melvina Bailey, Los Alamos, NM; 37 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Russell Wingate, Mrs. Fronie Goins, Mrs. Lena Johnson, all of Pitkin; two brothers, Henry Johnson of Leesville and Charles Johnson, Vidor, Tex.
