Bio

Alberta Irene Williams passed away at home on Sept. 6, 2011, in Emmett, Idaho. Alberta was born on Feb. 20, 1925, to Albert and Ida Smithers in Toronto, Canada. Her family moved to Flint, Mich., where she attended high school. Alberta became a U.S. citizen in 1947. She married Paul Howard Williams in 1944 (sic. 30 July 1944, Flint, Genesee County, Michigan) and had two daughters, Paula and Marsha. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her daughter, Paula. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Harry Granger, six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice, Dr. William Vetter, Colleen Bicandi and Sandi Reger for all their help and support. A memorial will be held Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, from 5 to 8 p.m. at 760 Celeste Drive, Emmett.
