Robert Wesley Weaver was born in Collin County, Texas to Robert Wesley Weaver and Elizabeth Ann Martin. He was their third child, the fist one born after they came to Texas from Kentucky. They settled in Collin County as part of the Peters Colony. At the age of 17. Robert served in the Civil War as part of Terry's Texas Rangers or the Eight Calvary. Robert married Permelia Mary George Sept 13, 1866. Together, they had eight children, Mary Louisa, Anne Elizabeth, William Rhodes, Ida, George, Eva Lee,Marga May and Jesse James. They remained in Collin County, Texas until around 1876 when they moved to Callahan County. But, they did not stay there long, by 1881, they were in Comanche County, Texas. Permelia died in Johnson County, Oklahoma, in 1896. so it is evident that they migrated to Oklahoma at some time after 1885. I am placing Robert here with Permelia as it is unlikely that she and their youngest daughter are buried here and he is not. I do not think she would have stayed in Oklahoma without him or any other of her family.
