LANC- Services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday at Knelt Funeral Home, David City, for Jacob Lanc, 63, of David City, who died Saturday at Butler County Hosptial (Note: his daughter - in - law says that he died in his truck on the way to the hosptial). The Rev. Paul York will officiate and burial will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery near Brainard. The body will be in state 3-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Born Dec. 14, 1910 in Brainard to Frank and Mary Topil Lanc, he was married to Sylvia Bubak Oct. 9, 1934, in Lincoln and farmed near Garrison until three years ago, when he was employed by Valmount Industries in Valley. He was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge is Brainard. Survivors include his widow; a son, Eugene of Rising City; two brothers, James of David City, Fred of St. Paul, Minn.; four sisters, Mrs. Madeline Pospichil of Lincoln, Mrs. Louis (Venia) Waia of Burbank, Calif.; Mrs. Laura Krejei of Lincoln, Mrs. Geaorge (Helen) Horacek of Brainard; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and teo brothers, Joseph and Edward.
