Fort Bend Herald, August 22, 2007: Funeral services for Leonard "LC" Polasek, 85, of Wallis, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, with the Rev. Richard Johnston celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. Interment was in the Guardian Angel Cemetery in Wallis. Serving as pallbearers were Charles Clough, Frankie Rezicek, Bobby Fifip, Pat Motel, Rudy Stuchley Jr., and Kenny Drozd. "LC" was born in Wallis, the son of Emil and Frances Kucera Polasek, on Nov. 11, 1921. He was raised in Wallis and attended Wallis schools. He served his country in the United States Army from 1941-1946. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, American Legion Post No. 200 in Wallis, the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, and was a fisherman, hunter, and fiddler. Leonard passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, in Sealy. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Christine Hinze, Annie Blazek, and Margaret Polasek; and brother, Johnnie. He is survived by his wife, Elvira Polasek of Wallis; daughters, Roxane Zotyka and husband, Ladgie, of Wallis, and Robin Reich and husband, Jeff, of Wallis; step-children, Jackie Clough, Susie Scholmon, Lynettee Atkins and husband, Tom, Ronald Tielke, Nancy Beran and husband, Adolph, Randy Tielke, and Kurtis Tielke and wife, Kim; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and two great-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren, one step-great granddaughter. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Brenham, 302 E. Bluebell, Brenham, Texas, 77833-2406. Funeral services were under the direction of Knesek & Sons Funeral Chapel, 122 North F.M. 1093 in Wallis, 979-478-6311.
