Miss Marie Sisson On last Sunday, April 14th the spirit of Marie Sisson entered into Life Eternal. To those of us who knew her in the four years she was a student in the Elkins High School, the knowledge of her death comes as a distinct shock. Less than a year ago we saw her as a member of the graduating class, sweet, fine, wholesome and true--her life filled with richest promise. Soon after her graduation she left for her home in Oklahoma, and we learn from friends there that she had been in failing health since last November. Her illness became acute several weeks ago and for some days before her passing her physicians had no hope of her recovery. Her physical beauty, her gentleness and her real nobility of character reminded us of Longfellow's exquisite portrait of young womanhood: "Standing with reluctant feet, Where the brook and river meet." Can we not feel that all the hope, and love and brightness of her young life will be fulfilled in her new life? In that other world which lies so close to this are not the spirits of our loved ones free from all grief and pain, and do they not grow into perfect beauty in the immediate presence of our Lord?
