James Franklin Beran (June 20, 1927 - March 18, 2010) James Franklin Beran U.S. Veteran In loving memory of the life of James (Jim) Beran a Rosary and Mass were celebrated in Dallas on April 15, 2010. Graveside services and burial will be held in Caldwell Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church Pavilion with Father Dimitrij Colankin officiating. James Franklin Beran passed away March 18, 2010 in Dallas. He was born on June 20, 1927 in Caldwell to parents Emanuel William and Julia Beran. He graduated from Caldwell High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran of World War II. After being honorably discharged he enrolled in The University of Texas, graduating from the School of Pharmacy. He then went to work at Baylor Hospital Pharmacy in Dallas where he worked for 43 years before retiring. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Edwin E. Beran. He is survived by his beloved sister, his nephew and wife, his niece, his great nephew and niece, He is also survived by his sister-in-law. Jim was a proud member of The Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe in Dallas, where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister and as an Acolyte when needed. He had a love for the outdoors, especially enjoying fishing. He loved his family and fellow man and had an extended family of relatives and friends who enjoyed his kindness and generosity as well as his great sense of humor.
