Funeral services for Allie Rhea Howell, 84, of Lubbock will be 3 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2012 at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. There will not be a formal visitation, however, friends are invited to come by Franklin Bartley Funeral Home from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Thursday, and until 1 p.m. Friday to pay their respects. Allie Rhea Martin was born on July 23, 1927 in Ropesville to General Alfred and Allie Olivia (Northam) Martin. She graduated from South Plains College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. Allie worked as the Director of Medical Records at West Texas Hospital for over 37 years until its closing in 1995. She married Richard E. Howell on November 17, 1972 in Lovington, N.M. She and Richard were long time members of the Asbury United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included Needlepoint and listening to religious music. Most of all, Allie loved her family. Her family was her life. She would take care of everyone and wanted to fix everything. She was known as the go to person. Allie was predeceased by her parents; husbands, Raymond Gordon in 1954, Cecil Seale in 1967, and Richard Howell in 1998. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Hayward of New Deal; son, Kenneth Gordon of Tacoma, Wash.; stepson, Donald Seale of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
