Funeral services for Lottie Belle Gerken, 98, of Needville, Texas will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Lottie was born December 19, 1913 in Columbus. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville. Lottie went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2012 in Needville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Gerken; parents, John and Ella Baca; step-sister, Doris Ellis; half-brother, Hamblin Baca and step-brother, Johnny Baca. Lottie is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, caregiver and friend, Laurie Ulrich and husband, Tim; along with other family and friends. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Baca, Russell Baca, Bruce Baca, Steve Freund, Tim Ulrich and Jason Ulrich. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the SPJST Nursing Home in Needville and to the hospice for their loving care.
