FORMER RESIDENT SUCCUMBS IN MART; RITES ARE PENDING D.O. Chenault, former resident of Mexia, died of a heart attack yesterday afternoon at his home in Mart following several months of poor health. He was 63 years old. Funeral services are pending in Mart at Littlepage Funeral Home. Mr. Chenault was married to the former Miss Bertie Mills of Mexia and they lived here before moving to Mart where he was employed with the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad for the past 35 years. He was a member of 5he Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War I. Mr. Chenaultwas born January 28, 1895 in Palmer.* Survivors include his widow; two sisters, Mrs. Velma Lottlejohn of Palmer and Mrs. J. Herman Thompson of Salem, Ore.; one brother, F. D.Chenault of Logan, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Alton Middleton of Jackson, Miss., and Mrs. Martha Schweada (correction, Schwede) of Onaco, Venezuela; three sons, D. O. Chenault Jr. of Houston, J. R. Chenault of Groesbeck, and Gene Chenault of Dallas; and 11 grandchildren.
