James Taylor ‘J.T.' Martin, Sr. 1934-2007 Funeral for James Taylor "J.T." Martin Sr., 72, of Boyd will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, at Greenwood Chapel. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 11 at the Greenwood Funeral Home. Martin died Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Azle. Born Sept. 1, 1934, in Cooper, he and his wife, Letha, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in February. He worked for American Manufacturing for 38 years and at Trinitiy Industries for five years before his retirement. He enjoyed traveling the U.S. He served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Letha Martin of Boyd; two daughters, Deborah Blue and husband, Ronnie, of Aledo and Hadie VanDeren and husband, Joseph, of North Richland Hills; sons, Donald C. Mitchell and wife, Shirley, Johnny Max Martin and wife, Autumn, and Ronnie Mitchell Jr., all of Boyd, James T. Martin of Poolville, Chester L. Martin of Weatherford and Joel Martin and wife, Joyce, of Azle; two brothers, Houston Martin and Willie Joe Martin; three sisters, Jewel Salgada, Dorothy Garcia and Shirley DeQuay; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
