Husband of Eunice Maude (Pitts) Miles Son of Levi Modest "Mardis" Miles & Virginia Ann (Bradham) Miles Joseph Lee Miles Jun 6, 1881 - Jan 28, 1952 Tuesday Rites For J. L. Miles At Blooming Grove BLOOMING GROVE, Jan. 29 — (Spl)—J. L. Miles, 70-year-old native of East Texas, succumbed to heart attack at his Blooming Grove home about 1:30 p. m. Monday. He had lived here the last five years, coming to Blooming Grove from Ennis. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3:30 p. m. at the First Christian Church. Rev. Jack Garrett, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Wofe & Dodd Funeral Home of Dawson directed. Survivors include the widow, the former Maud Pitts; one son, H. M. Miles of Italy; two daughters, Mrs. Hugh Holland of Navasota, and Mrs. Bud Burleson, Blooming Grove; a son, Oscar Miles, died in 1924. Pallbearers were nephews.
