Pvt 9th Tenn. Cavalry (Forrest) serving under both Capt. Beaty and Capt. Biffle. unmarried HISTORY: JONATHAN COOPER moved to Texas in 1877 and remained a year. He was a Master Mason of the Cedar Hill Lodge No. 493, which was chartered on December 14, 1878. After returning to Tennessee, he remained with his parents until they moved to Dallas County in 1887, and lived with them until their deaths in 1903. After they died, he made his home with his brother, ROBERT COOPER, in whose home he died. At the time of his death, he was survived by two brothers, ROBRT AND CYRUS COOPER, and a sister, MRS. ELIZABETH AGNES WISDOM. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Cedar Hill.
