Mrs. Frances Hundl was born May 18, 1872, in Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Frank and Mary Mikas. She came to America in 1892 and settled first in Flatonia, later moving to Shiner and Cameron. She was married to A.F. Hundl, February 17, 1894, in Praha, Texas. They celebrated their Sixtieth anniversary in February. Funeral services were held on June 30 from the Marek-Burns Funeral Home with burial in St. Monica's Cemetery, Reverend George Duda and Rev. Kallus officiated in the Requiem High Mass at St. Monica's Catholic Church. Pallbearers were: Adolph and Laddie Vesely, Marvin and Ernest Horelica; Donnie and Joe Hundl Jr., all of whom are Mrs. Hundl's grandsons. Her survivors are: Her husband; two sons, Frank and Joe Hundl of Houston; four daughters, Mrs. J.J. (Annie) Vesely of Shiner, Mrs. Millie Horelica of Houston; Mrs. Ernest (Henrietta) Polzer and Miss Lillie Hundl of Cameron; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Antonia Miller of Czechoslovakia. Among those attending the last rites were Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Vesely, Mrs. Jim Fait Sr. of Shiner, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Vesely and family of Alice; Miss Henrietta and Willie Vesely of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Frank Pulkrabek of Yoakum, Mrs. Emil Chromcak of Schulenburg. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hundl and sons, Mr. and Mrs. E.G. Hundl, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mull and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hundl, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hundl Jr., Mrs. Geraldine Hart, Mrs. Millie Horelica and sons, Houston, and Pete Marek of Crosby.
