Bio

Herald Coaster, May 2, 2000: Funeral services for Annie Macha, 88, of Wallis, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Guardian Angel Church in Wallis, with the Rev. Richard Johnston S.C.J. celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. Interment will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Wallis. Serving as pallbearers will be Deby Nelson, Mike Bergen, Greg Jalowy, Al Haynes, Dennis Viktorin, and Daniel Viktorin. Annie Macha was born June 21, 1911 in East Bernard to parents, Frank Prazak and Tillie Vacek Prazak. She was raised in the East Bernard area and attended Holy Cross Catholic School. On Sept. 24, 1934, she married Theo Macha in East Bernard. They settled in the Tavener area and loved her garden, playing dominoes and cards with friends and family. She was active in Guardian Angel Church, always baking kolaches, sewing quilts, and helping any way she could. Annie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and attended many functions that her children were in. She was a member of KJT, KJZT, and a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church. She died Sunday, April 30, 2000, in Houston. She is survived by her daughters, Annie Myer of Pasadena, Mary Jane Macha of Richmond, and Georgie Bergen and her husband, George, of Richmond; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
