Vincent Urban (84804105) Suggested edit: From The Colfax Country Press, Wed. Aug 5, 1964, P 3, transcribed by Linda Berney: Vincent Urban Funeral August 5 - Vincent Joseph Urban, the son of Vinc and Frances (Stodola) Urban, was born February 23, 1888 in Colfax County on a farm 1 mile west and 5 south of Clarkson. He attended Colfax Co. rural school and continued living with his parents until his marriage. On January 7, 1913 he and Stephanie Klimes were married at the Henn Catholic Church by Rev. Drbal. They made their home on a farm 4 miles west and 3 miles south of Clarkson until they retired to Clarkson in 1948. He was in failing health the past two years and was taken to the Schuyler Memorial Hospital about a week ago. He died there Friday, August 31 at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 8 days. Mr. Urban is survived by his wife, a daughter Palma (Mrs. Dennis Kuester) of Creston, Nebr., 3 sons, Raymond of Schuyler and Steve and George of Clarkson, 11 grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Frank S. Novotny of Clarkson and a brother Joe V. Urban also of Clarkson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Mr. Urban was a member of the Catholic Church and the Catholic Workmen Lodge.
