Houston Chronicle - February 10, 2012 Hazel Marvine Fuller departed this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. She was born in Hartburg, Texas on November 21, 1925. Hazel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James D. "J. D." Fuller II, her eldest son, James D. "Jimmy" Fuller III, and her parents, Robert and Litha Hargrove Carley. She is survived by her son, Robert Keith Fuller and his wife Joyce of Humble, Texas, by daughters, Peggy Freeman and Gayle Fuller of Spring, Texas, and her sister Irene Carley Humbird of Palestine, Texas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and their spouses, as well as 12 great grandchildren. The family wishes to acknowledge the loving care of Natalie, Walter, Kerstin, Heather, and Mercy of Magnolia House. Visitation will be at the American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, on Monday, February 13, 2012, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be in the chapel of the funeral home, with Hilton Merritt officiating, on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at 9:30 am, with graveside services following at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the animal shelter, Noah's Ark, in Cypress, Texas, the American Diabetes Association , or the charity of your choice .
