Herald Coaster, November 9, 1966: Funeral services were held for Frank M. Petter, well known Wallis citizen and retired farmer and stockman, in Wallis at 9 a.m. Monday, October 21, and continued at the Guardian Angel Church, with Msgr. Nesvadba and Rev. Lazek officiating. The month of October was important in his life. He was born on October 1, 1883 in Fayette County where he was reared and attended school. On October 14, 1908, Rev. Chromcik married him to Miss Marcella Parma who preceded him in death on December 12, 1955. In the year of their marriage, they moved to Wallis, their home for the rest of their lives. He passed away after a short illness in the Sealy Hospital at 1:30 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 1966, at the age of 83 years and 27 days. His last rites were held October 31. Mr. Petter was a devout Catholic and attended church regularly. This faith he passed on to his children and grandchildren. All of his life, he was a willing worker for his church. For 17 years, he served on the board of church directors. In his everyday life, he counted his many friends as one of his greatest riches. Pallbearers were his nephews, Adolph Supak of Granger, Alvin Sulik and Frank Sulik of Houston, Emil Petter of Wharton, Frank L. Petter of Pasadena, and Johnnie S. Petter of Fayetteville. The survivors of Frank M. Petter are three sons, Arnold E. Petter of Rosenberg, Johnnie Petter and Frank B. Petter of Wallis; one daughter, Mrs. Alton W. (Annie Mae) Kramer of Wallis; nine grandchildren, all of Wallis; two brothers, John H. Petter of Rosenberg and Willie Petter of Fayetteville; and one sister, Mrs. Frank Sulik of Houston.
