Bio

Herald Coaster, March 30, 1981: Funeral services for Edmund E. Jurek, 91, of Orchard, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis. Burial was in the church cemetery. Jurek died Saturday at a Sealy hospital. He was a farmer before retirement and lived in Rosenberg several years ago with his daughter, Edith Janik. Jurek was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the KJT Lodge. Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Janik, are a son, Arnold Jurek of Houston; and two other daughters, Stazie Barta of Wallis and Henrietta Pavlicek of Guy; and one brother, Charlie Jurek of Baytown. There are 28 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Funeral services were under the direction of Knesek Funeral Home.
