Helen Leola Bahr died Monday, at her assisted living residence. She graduated from Innebago High School in Nebraska. She married Elmer Lee "Dude"Bahr on June 25,1932, in Winnebago. 1941 the couple moved to California were she was employed at the shipyards. They returned to Winnebago in 1943 and moved to South Sioux City, Nebraska, in 1947, were she was employed with Swift Packing Company for 32 years. She was active in the South Sioux City and Sioux City First Presbyterian Churches. Member of First Presbyterian Church in Sioux City were she was a deaconess and elder. Also member of Rebekah Lodge 163 of South Sioux City, Hansen Green Leaf American Legion Auxiliary in Dakota city, Martha Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Swift Retirees Local Union and TOPS/KOPS. FAMILY NOTES: Survivors include,a son,Timothy & Marilyn of Dakota City;three daughters,Jeannine Mayberry of Hornick,Ia.,Marilyn Weyhrich of Gordon,Neb.,Valda & Marvin Young of Royal,Neb.;11 grandchildren;16 great-grandchildren;16 great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parentss;her beloved husband "Dude"on Feb.10,1983;five brothers,Ben,George,Dean,Robert and Homer;three sisters,Hope Cushing,Mary and Fern Leedom;a granddaghter,Jessica Frank.
