This grave is not listed in the Pecan Grove cemetery book, but i found the listing in a book of graves in county cemeteries from a long time ago. The following description was with this entry. Married Susanna Field on 13 June 1832 in Howard Co, Missouri. The Fields and Barneses had adjoining properties. Thomas and Susan lived in Boonville, Cooper Co., MO, before moving to Collin Co., TX, in 1851/2. They farmed 640 acres near Prosper. She died in McKinney at age 91. The first eight of their children were born in Missouri, the last two in Collin Co. _____________ Every primary document I've seen just lists him as Thomas (one as Thomas J). Some of his descendants have him as Thomas James, others give his name as Thomas John. This seems far fetched to me as he has brothers James Turner Barnes and John Barnes. Both brothers were born earlier and outlived Thomas J. I've reduced his name to middle initial only in my records. It could even be Thomas Jefferson Barnes as that name turns up again.
