Bio

obit from Aberdeen (SD), Monday, October 1, 1973, pg 12. Word has ben received of the death of Howard D Dirksen, formerly of Aberdeen and Conde. He died Sept 28 in Sioux Falls hospital from injuries received in an auto accident. Services for Dirkson, 39, will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct 2 at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. While living in Aberdeen he worked for the Mobil Oil Co. He operated a Sinclair state in Conde from 1961 to 1965. He was presently employed as a representative of Watkins Feed Division in Watertown. Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Jannelle; one son, Ward, both at home; his parents, Mr and Mrs Ralph Dirkson, Redfield; three brothers, Harold, Raymond; Darrell, Conde; Dean, Kansas City, Kan; and three sisters. contributed by FAG member DL Bronson
