Bio

Fannie Mae was the daughter of Milton and Nannie Vallance Orr. She was raised on the Orr Farm in Plaska,Texas. She was married to Robert Tiner October 4, 1931 in Plaska, Hall Co., Texas. After the death of Robert she married George Odis "Ted" Morris. Fannie Mae Orr Tiner Morris, 91, formerly of Memphis, Hall Co., Texas, died Friday in a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis with the Rev. Neely Landrum officiating. Arrangements were made by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Mrs. Morris was born in Plaska, Hall Co., Texas and graduated from Memphis High School. She attended Clarendon, Texas Junior College. She owned and operated the Old Fashioned Freeze in Memphis, Texas until retiring and moved to Abilene, Texas in 1995 from Memphis. She taught the Victory Sunday School Class at Memphis First United Methodist Church and was the widow of Robert Tiner and George Odis "Ted" Morris. Survivors include one son, Wayne Tiner of Abilene; one daughter, Cleva Mae Lower of San Angelo; two sisters, Ouida Brooks of Albuquerque, N.M., and LaVerne Heith of Tyler; eight grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
