Born near Paplin in Howard county. Married Nellie Sowkinos in 1924. Farmed and then operated Lonowski Motor Company until 1954. Lived in Grand Island and Fremont in Nebraska, then Atlantic and Perry in Iowa before moving to Council Bluffs Iowa. Married Doris Ireland in 1970. Had brothers Tom, Leo, Joe, Ed, Clemence and Emil and sisters Tekla Woitalewicz, Dora Mazankowski, Nora Golka and Florence Wichman. Preceded in death by 3 sons, Melvin, infants Gilbert and Allen and a daughter Renee Himberg.
