Doris Lonwoski January 27, 1920-January 5, 2002 January 9, 2002 Doris Ireland Lonwoski, 81, of Anita, died on Saturday, January 5, 2002, at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Anita. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, at 2:00 p.m., at the Griswold United Methodist Church in Griswold, with Pastor Rick Jennings officiating. Burial will be in the Flint Cemetery at Griswold. Doris was born at Anita, on January 27, 1920, to Lesile and Ola Heath Dorsey Lightenar. She attended Highland Schools and on December 6, 1938, she married Hershel Ireland at Atlantic. She worked in the Griswold School cafeteria and later at two grocery stores in Griswold. Hershel died in 1968 and in 1970 she married Louie Lonwoski and they lived in Council Bluffs. After the death of her second husband she lived in a nursing home at Anita and for a short time lived at an Iowa Falls nursing home. She was a long time member of the Griswold United Methodist Church and a former member of Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed gardening and square dancing. She is survived by two sons, Jim Ireland and his wife, Sherrie and Gary Ireland and wife, Judy, all of Iowa Falls; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, Kip Ireland and wife, Leslie and their daughter, Kayla of Humboldt, Wade Ireland and his children, Dustin and Maggie of Iowa Falls, Mike Ireland and his wife, Tish and children Josh, Megan and Zach of Camdenton, Missouri, Marcie Meyer and husband, Troy and daughter, Rachel of Woodbury, Minnesota, Deanna Krause and husband, Kurtis and children, Lane, Logan, Evan and Mattie of Iowa Falls and Carrie Deal and husband, Jason of Burnsville, Minnesota; four sisters, Letha Jensen, Lois Barber and Harriet Baylor, all of Anita and Mary Jane Wingert of Des Moines.
