Bio
Lillian Mokry Magown, age 86, passed away on January 23, 2012 from cancer. Born April 19, 1925 in Granger, TX. She completed nurses training at Seton Hospital, Austin, TX in 1946, retired from Methodist Hospital after 33 years in the main operating rooms serving as staff nurse, head nurse and supervisor. Preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James Daniel Magown and survived by three children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2012 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9900 Stella Link Rd., Houston, TX 77025. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or Corpus Christi Catholic Church are appreciated.
