Bio
Bernadette (Sister Georgine) Mokry passed away on May 11, 2013. She was born on June 10, 1932 to George and Mary (Matula) Mokry. Bernadette grew up in Granger, Texas and graduated from Ss. Cyril & Methodius School. She entered Our Lady of the Lake Convent in San Antonio where she became a nun. Bernadette loved children and became a music piano teacher. She taught in many Catholic schools including Houston, Louisiana and Oklahoma. She later moved to Corpus Christi and gave piano lessons to children at Ss. Cyril & Methodius School for a number of years. She loved to sing in the church choir. Bernadette's favorite song was the Ave Maria. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Matula Mokry and two sisters Georgia and Lillian. Her surviving family includes two sisters Tillie Mokry and Mary (Robert) Kadlubar of Conroe, four brothers Jerry (Johnny Lee), Ladd Mokry, George G. of Whitney and E.J. (Christine) of
