? February 15, 1960 MRS. ORPHA LEATHERMAN NEW CARLISLE - Mrs. Orpha Leatherman, 72, of 112 E. Jefferson st., New Carlisle, died in her residence at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 1960. Mrs. Leatherman was born Feb. 2, 1888, in Franklin County, Va., the daughter of William and Irene Wray Barnhart. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Her husband, Otho F. died in 1946. Survivors are two sons, Lamar of Canton, O., and Harold of New Cralisle; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille West of Covington, Route 1 and Miss Louise Leatherman, at home; three brothers, Herbert Barnhart of New Carlisle, Route 3, Wray of Tipp City, Route 1 and Russell of New Carlisle, Route 3; and four grandchildren. Her body was taken to the Trostel funeral home in New Carlisle where friends may call from 2 p.m. Monday until Tuesday noon when the body will be taken to the Church of the Brethren, New Carlisle, to lie in state until services, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. John C. Middlekauf, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
