HAROLD C. LEATHERMAN 79, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Saturday April 2, 2011. He was born March 28, 1932 in Springfield, Ohio the son of the late Otho & Orpha (Barnhart) Leatherman. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country in the Korean Conflict, retired from Sears, Roebuck & Company and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn Leatherman; daughters, Debra (Ben) Brandt of Troy, Ohio, Julie Hall of New Carlisle; four grandchildren, Angela (Joe) Arndts, Justin, Ashley (Dustin) Brubaker, and Andrew; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by twin sisters, Louise Studebaker and Lucille West; and a brother, Lamar Leatherman;. Visitation will be 10-11:00 AM Tuesday April 5, 2011 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral services at 11:00 in the funeral home. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Caldwell House and Acclaim Hospice, for the loving care they provided.
