Janet M. Tiff, 69, of Grand Island died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Janet was born July 20, 1942, in Greeley to Carl and Clara (Swanson) Rose. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Jack. Survivors are: sons, John Tiff and Jerod Tiff, both of Grand Island; daughter, Jennifer Tiff of Grand Island; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Linda Rose of Torrance, Calif., Jim Rose of Anchorage, Alaska, Steve Rose of Grand Island, Mauri and Carmalee Rose of Cheyenne, Wyo.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sally and Dale Fillinger of Grand Island, Ellen Rose of Laguna Beach, Calif., Jean and Ron Sutter of Cheyenne, Wyo., Sherri and Gary Somerville of Ozark, Ark.; and precious dog, Princess. Janet received her education at the Greeley Public Schools. She was united in marriage to Jack D. Tiff in December of 1958. The couple lived in Grand Island, where she worked at various places in housekeeping. Janet was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Eagle's Club. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping and babysitting. She enjoyed watching football and Nascar. Janet was also preceded in death by: parents; brother, Frank Rose; and nephew, Paul Rose and cousin, Lee Tiff. Burial was in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Island, NE.
