Bio

John was born in Lovelady Texas. In 1917 he married Nellie Ann Griffin. They had 11 children. During the early years John travelled all over west Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas harvesting cotton and wheat. John and Nellie settled down in Dallas in 1939 so they could be near daughter Juanita while she was in the Scottish Rite Hospital. John operated his own dump truck for many years until his retirement.
