Bio

Juanita L. Douglas was born in Texola,Ok to John and Nellie Douglas. She had 10 brothers and sisters. When Juanita was 10 months old she was stricken with the polio virus. She spent most of her childhood in rehabilitation. First at Oklahoma hospital for crippled children in Norman Oklahoma and later at the Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas,Tx. Despite being paralyzed from the waist down she managed to live a long and fruitful life. She was married H.C.Duncan and they had one daughter Doris Ann.
