Bio

Mrs. Lois Juanita Shanks, of Crockett, age 91, passed away in the Houston County Nursing Home on Friday, March 27, 2015. Mrs. Shanks was born in Percilla, Texas to Robert F. Rich and Clara Susan Foster on August 20, 1923. She was a bookkeeper at the State School in Crockett for many years, member of the Texas Employee Retirement Association, Chairman for the Muse Cemetery Association, and an active member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Shanks was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Talmadge Shanks; and son, James Michael McLeod. Funeral Services for Mrs. Lois Juanita Shanks will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. W.D. Thomason officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park. CALLAWAY-ALLEE FUNERAL HOME
