JEROME RICHARD "JERRY" TUREK Jerome R. "Jerry" Turek, age 82 years, of Lincoln, formerly Dwight, passed away January 18, 2012. Born January 9, 1930 in Beaver Crossing to John J. and Lucy (Policky) Turek. A 1947 graduate of Ulysses High School; served in the U.S. Army 1951-1953; 30+ years in sales with Frito Lay, Weaver Chip Co. and Gourmet Foods Co.; former employee School District of Seward maintenance. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Eileen Turek, Bend Ore.; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Steve Joekel, Bellevue, and Debra and Mike Michel, Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Lois Turek, Susanville, Calif. Cremation. Signing of remembrance book: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, January 20, and 9 a.m. until service time all at Zabka Funeral Home, Seward. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, January 21 at Zabka Funeral Home Chapel, Seward. Graveside service and inurnment with military honors: Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Dwight.
