Marie Fuss BAYARD - Marie Fuss, 94, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2012 at Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Faith United Church of Christ in Bayard with Pastor Tom Smith officiating. Interment will be held at the Bayard Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church.Memorials in Marie's honor may be made in care of the church. Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff is in charge of arrangements. Marie was born June 20, 1917 in Bayard, to Fredrick and Lydia (Wirth) Rein. She received her education in Bayard. She married Jacob Kraus and the couple farmed in the Torrington, Wyo. and Gering areas. After Jacob's passing in 1962, Marie married Leonard Fuss and the couple moved to Cheyenne where they both worked at Little America. She also worked as a hostess at The Mayflower in Cheyenne until she retired. After retirement, Marie moved to Littleton, Colo. for 7 years. In 2007 she moved to Northfield Villa in Gering until December of 2009 when she moved to Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard. Marie was a member of the Emmanuel Congregational Church in Cheyenne, Wyo. and the first United Church of Christ in Torrington, Wyo. Marie loved to take walks, cook, dance and shop. She was an avid Broncos fan, but loved all sports. She especially loved spending time with family and cherished the unforgettable family get togethers and memorable holiday dinners with all of her loved ones. She will be loved forever and missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her children, Jerry (Glenda) Kraus of Lingle, Wyo., Jurene (Andrew) Fritz of Littleton, Colo., Larry Kraus of Coaldale, Colo., Jacqueline Moscati of Arvada, Colo., and Diana Huber of Littleton, Colo.; 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, husbands Jacob Kraus and Leonard Fuss, Jerry's twin brother Larry J. Kraus who died at 2-years-old, two brothers, four sisters, and granddaughters, Valerie Barthel and Stacy Moscati preceded her in death. The Star-Herald January 19, 2012
