Bio

Mom was a homemaker most of her life and was married to Alvin Vallance in Memphis, Texas in 1932. They were the parents of two children. Mom and Dad made their home near the Vallance Farm in Plaska, Hall Co., Texas for several years. She and Dad moved from Texas to California several times during their marriage seeking work to provide for the family. She was born in Haskell, Haskell County, Texas and lived in Oklahoma, California,and Oregon during her life time. She was also married to Andrew J. Goode of Texas. After their marriage they made their home in Bakersfield, California. She received her education in Roby, Texas. She lived a number of years in Bakersfield and Oil Dale, California before making her home in Forest Grove, Oregon with her eldest son.
