Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Nov. 3, 1955 J. J. Kresta Rites Set Wednesday Final rites for J. J. Kresta are scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the St.James Catholic Church with he pastor, the Rev. Joseph Mathey, in charge of the services. Interment will take place in the Catholic cemetery. The services will be preceded by a rosary recited at the Baker Funeral home at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Kresta, who had heart trouble for several years, collapsed Saturday shortly after witnessing an accident in which Jim Hobizal , a resident of the Zika (Oak) Forest area, was killed Saturday afternoon. The accident occurred within sight of Kresta's home. He was taken to hospital at Shiner Sunday morning after showing symptoms of heart trouble. Kresta dies at Shiner hospital Monday at 1 p.m. He was born April 12, 1899, in Lavaca county to Anton and Agnes Havel Kresta, natives of Moulton. He was married to the former Frances Maloch and the couple had lived for some 34 years on Route 5 where he was a farmer. He was a member of the Catholic Church and also of the Catholic Workmen. Survivors include his father; his wife; three sons, Joe and Louis, Gonzales; Albert of Victoria; two daughters, Mrs. Angelina Dolezal of Pierce; and Mrs. Willie May Emler of El Campo; six brothers, Richard, Emil, Fred and Slfred of Moulton; Bill of Sinton; and Edwin of Wharton; three sisters, Mrs, Ruby Koncaba and Mrs. Ed Kocian of Lubbock; and Mrs. Emmett Orsah of Moulton.
