Obituary Gonzales Inquirer July 26, 19990 Funeral services for Joe Kresta, who died on Thursday, were held on Tuesday, July 24 at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Carlos Velasquez officiated, with interment in St. James Cemetery. A rosary was recited on Monday evening at Seydler-Hill Chapel. Mr. Kresta was born on March 17, 1922 in Gonzales County, to Jerome and Francis Maloch Kresta. He was married to Martha Mary Malik on Oct. 29, 1952 and they lived on Route 3. He worked as a maintenance man for poultry equipment and was s member of St. James Catholic Church. Ge was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II and was a member of VFW Post 4817. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Kresta on May 13, 1979, his parents; two brothers and one sister.
