Bio

Lillian Pearl Whitesell was born on 20 October 1903 in Burwell, Nebraska. Her father Harry Whitesell was 46 and her mother Artemesia (Willett) Whitesell was 27. In 1921 in Oklahoma, Pearl married John Ross Conrad. In twenty years of marriage, they had four children together—Edith, Marjorie, Robert, and Gloria. Pearl was widowed in 1941 when John died of leukemia at age 45, after working for eight years as a foreman in an oil refinery. Pearl married Robert Edward Cusick in 1954. They were married nine years before he died in 1963. Pearl died on 1 April 1985 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, at age 81. She was survived by all four children and numerous grandchildren. She is buried beside her first husband John Conrad in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, Kay County, Oklahoma.
