Rhoda married Albert Clark Ledger November 29, 1913 in Midvale, Garfield County, Nebraska. She moved to Canada where her husband had arrived earlier, he crossed the border at Emerson Manitoba March 12, 1914 and destination Melfort, Saskatchewan. Rhoda came with her Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Charles and Susan Ledger March 19, 1914, crossed the USA to Canada border also at Emerson Manitoba, destination Melfort. After arriving at their new home, Rhoda took a bad accidental fall, perhaps from a ladder and being in advanced pregnancy, she died due to these factors October 7, 1914. She was buried in what was termed "The Pleasant Valley Holiness Movement Cemetery", which is south of Melfort 4 1/2 miles. This Cemetery now is no longer being cared for, it has no sign and is an unfenced, unkempt weed patch in the corner of a farmer's field. The farmer is aware of it and respectfully crops around the Cemetery lot which also initially had a Holiness Movement Church on the same lot. There are only 2 other burials in the Cemetery that I have information on, however the Saskatchewan Genealogy Society has the following information but in contacting them directly they have nothing further: RM No. 429 Flett Springs Cemetery ID 2698 and 429-002 (The 2nd Cemetery recorded in the RM). Cemetery Name - Lipsett-The Holiness Movement. They show no Owner/Operator Legal Land Location - NE 12-44-19-W2 1st burial 1914 - Last burial 1980 - 8 burials Note - When the Railway came to the Pleasant Valley Community there was a very small town that was given the name Lipsett, however the Community continued to refer to it as Pleasant Valley. The Cemetery is about 3 miles east of Lipsett. To go to this cemetery from Canam Highway 6, from the Melfort Jct of 6, 3 and 41 proceed south 4 miles, turn west where there will be a Hodgins Auctions sign, proceed west of the large Auction yard to the next intersection and viewing to the SW of that intersection you will see what appears to be a weed patch and in summer 2 tombstones will be seen. There is no sign for the Cemetery. If you have GPS, my reading was N 52.7829 - W 104.6164, however I have trouble marking as such with Google.
