Son of John David and Elizabeth Jane Doctor Copenhaver. Married Lydia Ann Mercer on 31 JAN 1850 in Virginia. Married Lena Gehrig Hatfield on 28 FEB 1878 in Bethel, Shelby County, Missouri by Harrison Bair, Justice of the Peace. Occupation: Farmer MO d/c 11258 —Mrs. A. B. Forman, of Shelbyville was here Tuesday enroute to Clarence, being called there on account of the serious illness and death of her brother, John Copenhaver. —John Conenhaver, aged 87 years, died at his home in Clarence Tuesday morning of a complication of diseases. He leaves a wife and five children, two sisters, Mrs. A. B. Forman and Mrs. Matilda Douglass, of Shelbyville, to mourn bis death. The body was brought here yesterday and taken to Shelbyville where the funeral services were held at the M. E. C. S. conducted by Rev. J. A. Mumpower and Rev. B. F. Leake. Burial in the I. O. O.
