Medical Doctor The Oklahoman, Wednesday, Dec 28, 1977: Dr William M. Mussil, 79, of 2308 NW 27, died Tuesday at his home after a long illness. Services are pending with Smith & Kernke Funeral Home. Mussil was born Dec 24, 1898 in Ennis, TX. He was graduated from St Marcos Academy in Texas and attended West Point from 1917 to 1918. He left the military academy to study medicine at Baylor University Hospital and Long Island Hospital, New York Medical College, and served his medical residency at New York Polyclinic Hospital. He was licensed to practice medicine in Oklahoma in 1927 and retired from practice in 1974. Mussil was a member of the 50 Year Club of the American Medical Association, and a life member of the Oklahoma State and County Medical Societies, and the Oklahoma Clinical Society. He was also a member of the Southern Medical Association, and the American Academy of Opthalmology and Oto-laryngology, board member and president of Oklahoma City Opthalmology and Oto-laryngology Academy, and Phi Beta Pi, and Professor of ear, nose and throat at University Hospital. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Maude; and two brothers, Dr Julius Mussil, Skokie, IL, and Antone Mussil, El Paso, Tx.
