Lucille Scott, age 87, of Cedar Bluffs, NE, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Fremont Area Medical Center. She was born March 17, 1924 in Abie, NE to Louis and Mary (Kulhanek) Marushak. She grew up in Abie and graduated from David City High School before moving to Fremont. In 1949 she moved to a farm northeast of Cedar Bluffs and then moved into Cedar Bluffs in 1995. She had been living at Shalimar Gardens in Fremont since April 2011. Lucille Marushak married James C. Scott June 16, 1948 in Fremont. He died June 19, 1993. Lucille was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fremont. Survivors include: son – Larry and wife Janet Scott of Cedar Bluffs, NE; daughter Donna Ehrenberg of Cedar Bluffs, NE; sisters – Marie and husband Ed Hoesing of Fremont, NE; sisters-in-law – Mary Marushak of David City, NE and Phyllis and husband Edwin Strong of Fremont, NE; 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by: parents; husband, James; son-in-law – Floyd Ehrenberg; 3 brothers – Alvin, Ervin and Roman Marushak; and sister-in-law – Nancy Hall. Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Fremont. The Rev. Greg Hall will officiate. Visitation will be 1-8 P.M. Monday, January 2, 2012 with family receiving friends 6-8 P.M. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church Tuesday. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery at Cedar Bluffs, NE. Memorials may be directed to the American Legion at Cedar Bluffs and Maple Grove Cemetery Association or to the donor's choice. Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont is in charge of arrangements. 402-721-4490
