Services for Drucilla Maxine Stephens, 88, of Canton, Texas, are scheduled for 11:00 am Monday January 2, 2012 at Eubank Chapel with Pastor Patrick Cooper officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton. Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, Texas. She passed away December 30, 2011 in Irving, TX. Mrs. Stephens was born October 31, 1923 in Snyder, TX, to Henry Paschel and Minnie Lee Deen Donohoe. Drucilla was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton. She grew up in Canton and married Love Stephens in 1942. They moved to Dallas and started their family. In 1948 she began her career as a long distance telephone operator for Southwestern Bell where she retired in 1982 after 34 years of service. Drucilla moved back to Canton in 1979. After her retirement her and Love began traveling. They moved to Rockport, TX and enjoyed fishing and more traveling. She enjoyed family and friends and cooking. In May 2002 they came back home to Canton and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Love Dean "L.D." Stephens in 2010, 4 Brothers & 4 Sisters and her parents. Survivers include a daughter & son-in-law Linda & Bob Day of Irving, TX; a son Jerry Stephens of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
