Services for Romie Dean Donohoe, 88, Estace, were held Monday, March 15, at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton, with Rev. Irby Barber officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Van Zandt County. Mr. Donohoe died March 13, 1999, at his residence. He was born April 10, 1910, in Anson to the late Henry Paschall and Minnie Dean Donohoe. He grew up in the Tundra and Highland communities of Van Zandt County, and lived in Eustace for 18 years. He was a member of Payne Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Pauline Martin Donohoe in 1996. Survivors include son, Dean Donohoe, Dallas; daughters, Jessie Boyd, Eustace, Wynona Draughn, Mabank, and Earnestine Terry, Maypearl; sisters, Grace Brown, Lucille Hughes, and Drucilla Stephens, all of Canton; brother, Homer Donohoe, Grand Saline; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Pallbearers included Paul Ray Woods; DeWayne Bowman, Kelly Wadsworth, Michael Jennings, Darrell Cravey and Tony Berry. Honorary pallbearers were Kevin Wadsworth and Tommy Lynn Ebarb.
