"Jack" Scovil, 88, Lovington, died 4:20 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 24, 1990) in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Lovington, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Keller Cemetery Lovington. Memorials: First Christian Church, Lovington. Mr. Scovil was born in Tower Hill on June 11, 1902, son of Sylvester and Phoebe Scovil. He was retired from Harshman Plumbing & Heating and a member of First Christian Church. He married Hazel Behen on May 6, 1938 in Owensburg Ky. Surviving is his wife. Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
